The SLP IOS and Android apps are developed by Virtual Mgr for SLP. This page details the process for Safe Load Program account deletion and the set of data that will be retained once an account has been deleted.
Since the data collected by SLP is associated with movement of dangerous goods around Australia there is a need for SLP to retain a minimum set of data so that compliance requirements can be met.
The first step in any deletion process is the setting of a expiry date against the user. At this stage no data will be deleted, only access to the SLP system will be disabled for the user. The user will remain in this state for 3 months, after which PII (Personal Identifiable Information) will be deleted for the user. The SLP Id number will be retained, however the name, email address, drivers licence, dangerous good licence etc data will be deleted.
Since accounts automatically expire once the renewal date passes the vast majority of users will simply allow this date to pass. For users who wish to delete their account before the renewal date the following process should be followed.
- Contact SLP support via phone and verify identity
- Request account deletion
SLP support will then expire the account, if you have registered an email with SLP you will receive an email confirming the expiration of the account. The account deletion will then follow the normal 3 month rule before data is deleted.
Note if an account has been expired and you wish to re-enble the account please contact SLP support if its within the 3 month window.
